We have some beautiful Congo Tetras (Phenacogrammus interruptus) available for adoption! These stunning freshwater fish, native to the Congo River Basin in Africa, are known for their iridescent colors and elegant, flowing fins. Here’s what you need to know about caring for them:

Tank Requirements

Size: 30 gallons or more for a group of 6-8
Filtration: Reliable, with gentle flow
Water: 72-82°F, pH 6.0-7.5, hardness 2-15 dGH
Decor: Well-planted with sand or fine gravel, rocks, and driftwood
Care & Compatibility

Diet: Omnivores; enjoy flakes, pellets, and live/frozen treats like brine shrimp and daphnia
Tankmates: Peaceful with other non-aggressive fish
Lighting: Dim lighting helps them show off their vibrant colors
Congo Tetras are a shoaling species, happiest in groups, so adopting a few would be perfect! With the right setup, they’ll be an active, colorful addition to your aquarium. 🌿🐠
