My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Lani and I’m a small and pretty Border Collie mix, about 10 months old, 22 lbs, and I have a very soft medium-length coat. I was dumped in San Antonio Texas, but being a friendly and intelligent girl, I followed the UPS delivery guy to someone's door, and when they answered I walked inside, greeted the resident dogs, jumped onto the couch, and made myself at home. It almost worked too! I guess they realized I wasn't theirs, Darn it, so they called 4 Little Paws to come and get me. No big deal, I really just wanted to be sure I was safe and fed and now I have other foster dog playmates, I’m vaccinated, spayed, chipped, and ready to find a family of my own!

My foster mom says I’m a happy girl who makes friends easily, young and old, strangers, and dogs, I’m just playful and sweet to all. I am also well-behaved, only bark to alert, housebroken, trustworthy, no separation anxiety, and I don't guard my food or toys. I’m easy to love and easy to live with. I’ll curl up near you once playtime is over and watch you work, and sleep in my dog bed near your bed at night. I’m ok in a crate with a favorite chew toy, but would rather be out having some fun. I Love going for walks and don't mind a car ride, easygoing and loveable I’m ready to meet you. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
