Argos was rescued from a garbage dump in Puerto Rico, where he lived with his littermates and mother for the first four months of his life And may have been abused by local children. By the time we got him at about nine months he’d been moved around quite a bit. He’s sweet and loves attention, rubbing and baths. Most of all he loves to run. He’s more comfortable with other dogs than he is with people, except his own people. We are living in New York City and it is not a good environment for him. He’s afraid of construction noises, city streets bicycles, loud children. He’s not very motivated by food so training is difficult. When we take him out of the city where he can run, he is so much happier. He also has a big bark and a serious set of teeth so even though he is really just scared and not aggressive, he can be quite frightening.
