Recently surrendered by her owner, Bonita has faced her share of challenges, including neglect and being covered in fleas, but she’s ready to leave her past behind and embrace a brighter future. Despite everything, Bonita’s spirit remains unbroken, and she’s blossomed into a social, loving, and outgoing girl who radiates joy wherever she goes.

Bonita recently weaned a litter of puppies and has since been spayed. Now, at a healthy 50 pounds, she’s ready to experience life at its fullest. She gets along beautifully with other small dogs and loves being part of the pack. With her great personality and warm, affectionate nature, Bonita is sure to capture hearts instantly.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to save the lives of dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters nationwide by pledging funds that enable rescues to take in, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. On occasion, if we do not have a local rescue in place in the city the dogs are in, we bring them to Illinois to avoid their euthanasia. They are placed in boarding for vetting, once done, they are promoted for fostering or adoption.
