Personality | Annie is a playful and loving girl. She enjoys meeting new people and other dogs, especially ones that will wrestle and run with her.
Story | Annie was found as a stray in rural Texas. She was placed on the shelters euthansia list due to limited space.
Other Dogs | Annie is very playful with other dogs. She likes to wrestle and jump while playing. We recommend a household with another young or active dog that can keep up with her play drive. She appears to lack socialization and needs coarching to learn when playtime is over. This is an easily trainable behavior that we see often with rescue Labs first leaving the shelter environment.
Cats | Unknown.
Children | Although Annie has not met children while at the shelter, she is great with all of the staff. We imagine she will make a great family pet with proper intros.
Training | Annie is a blank slate, but seems to pick up on training quickly. She already knows to sit for a treat! Very food motivated and eager to please although sometimes life is too exciting to listen She keeps her kennel clean, however, this does not always translate to house trained when entering a new home. Annie will do best with an adopter that is willing to provide basic training and skills.
Leash | She will pull on leash when excited, but is not afraid of it and is always so happy when the shelter staff takes her out for a walk.
Activity Level | Medium-high. Annie is a young, energetic Lab. She needs a home that will provide regular exercise, socialization and basic training. We are confident she will thrive and be an amazing pet with this combo! She loves to run, play fetch, get the zoomies and eat treats.
Health Notes | Healthy, Annie is up to date on vaccines.
Thank you! |

Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.
Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.
We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
