My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wally, the embodiment of energy and enthusiasm! This spirited pup is all about fun and adventure, making him the perfect companion for an active dog lover. Wally's intense play style means he needs a doggy friend who can match his vibe-there's no chill with this guy, just pure excitement!

Wally is incredibly food motivated, which is great for training, but it's important to note that he can be protective of his meals. He'll thrive in an environment where his new guardian can work with him on this behavior, ensuring he learns proper manners around food.

While Wally has had positive experiences with children, he is looking for an adult-only home that can provide the structure, training, and respect he deserves. He's not just a bundle of energy; he's also incredibly loving and friendly, eager to go on adventures with his humans. After a day filled with play, you'll find Wally happily curling up on the couch, enjoying some well-deserved relaxation.

If you're ready for a fun-loving companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with joy, Wally is your guy!

More about this shelter

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
