My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OAK

Foster to Adopt

Hi there, my name is Oak and I'm the sweetest pup you'll ever meet! I came to the wonderful folks at C.A.R.E. from an overcrowded shelter in Texas along with my mom and sister, but while they've found their perfect forever homes, I'm still patiently waiting for mine.

When I first arrived, the kind staff at C.A.R.E. discovered something really unexpected about me - I'm deaf! But you know what? My deafness doesn't slow me down one bit! In fact, I've been absolutely nailing my training and learning all sorts of hand signals. My foster parents say I'm a total superstar!

I just love to play with all kinds of toys and go for long walks around the neighborhood. I have a wonderfully chill, docile personality, but I can also be a total goofball when it's playtime. My amazing foster parents and the team at C.A.R.E. have been working so hard with me, making sure I grow up to be the very best pup I can be.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to bring so much joy into your life, I just might be your guy! C.A.R.E. will provide training resources to help me learn and thrive. I promise I'll shower you with kisses, cuddles, and unconditional love. So what do you say - are you ready to give this deaf wonder dog a lifetime of happiness? I can't wait to find my forever home. Will it be with you?

I have been microchipped and will be neutered and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an foster survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-foster-survey

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
