My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful soul will love her person with all her heart. Kit is a purebred Australian Shepherd. She’s approx 1 y/o, 30#, house trained, crate trained, uses the doggie door, and is doing well with leash training. Kit came from a situation with ZERO human interaction so it is imperative that her new person understands the importance of keeping her on a leash at all times and patience when she might not understand things we take for granted like going through doorways or counter surfing. She will blossom with someone who will give her the confidence and love she needs and deserves to grow and flourish. Kit is not kid or cat tested but an older respectful child 12+ may be considered. Kit will come out of her shell faster with another friendly dog in the home for her to learn the ropes from. She’s basically a 3 month old puppy on the learning curve of doggie life. A secure fenced in yard is required for Kit. If you’re interested in meeting Kit, the first step is to complete our meet and get application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Kit is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Her adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
