My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alice is a super fun, spry little senior with plenty of zest and sass! This sweet old girl was found tied to a stop sign with a senior friend and taken to the shelter.

Alice had bad skin and horrible cherry eyes so bad they completely covered her eyes.

She flew through surgery to repair her cherry wyes and with meds and love she is ready for a forever home!

Alice has done well with meeting other dogs, is house and crate trained. We believe she must have beagle in her because she is nose to the ground investigating all the time!

She loves a good leash walk and a snack, but she’s also happy with couch time (and a snack).
Alice is very no tested in cats but has done ok with dog savvy cats who don’t run. She would probably pester a cat she could intimidate into running.

At about 25lbs, Alice is perfect for adventures or cuddles and she is willing to play a part in both!

Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online

More about this rescue

Rosalie and Friends was created out of the President's dedication to help the under dogs and cats. She has taken in and rehabilitated the sick and injured for years. Late 2022 a well respected animal 501c3, Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, dissolved and turned the organization over to Rosalie and Friends. We have assumed responsibility of several programs from them, to include sponsorship for heartworm treatment of animals adopted through the shelter. We also provide medical assistance for shelter animals and have a fospice program to get senior pets from the shelter and into loving homes through end of life. Our logo is "Fospice and fixer uppers" but that has not stopped us from helping others that cross our paths.
