This precious girl is Cinnamon Claire! She is about 7 years old. we pulled her from Metro Animal Control. She ended up there when her owner was found unconscious living in a car with 2 other dogs. The 2 other dogs were pulled by another rescue, but poor Cinnamon Claire was left by herself scared to death. Proverbs pulled her and has got her fully vetted. She has been fixed, had a dental, had senior bloodwork done (came back great) and had some x-rays done and that did show some partial tears on her ACLs. She has good range of motion in her hips, but the vet has recommended anti-inflammatories and joint supplements. There could be a chance down the road that she could need surgery, but the vet does not recommend that till that affects her quality of life.
This girl is very sweet but does take a while to warm up to you. She seems to be very shy for about a week. Once she warms up, she really curls up in your lap and snuggles right up to you. She is puppy pad trained. I would not take her outside for a while till she adjusts to her new home and her people as we do not want to risk her getting loose and escaping. She prefers wet food to eat. She really is a precious girl. All she needs is a patient adopter who will give her some time to adjust as she has been through a lot. As long as you can give her that then she will warm your heart forever!
