Savoca is a very sweet, gentle dog who just wants to be near her people and cuddle. You may find her sleeping in a basket, in the hamper, on a table, on the kitchen chair or even sleeping on the washer. She is laid back and enjoys shorter walks or at least she does not like walking in the cold. She loves people and has been indifferent towards dogs. She does not mind them around but is not interested in playing. She lives with with a cat but they have not really interacted. Based on her overall demeanor, she seems like she would do fine with cats. She does have some separation anxiety and whines when left alone. She cannot be left unattended in the backyard because she is very smart and can duck under the fence or jump over the fence very quickly. Even so, she is very sweet and is warming up every single day. I'm going to make somebody a great friend!
Savoca is the perfect companion dog. She is so so sweet and on the smaller side.
She ia a shy girl that will escape a yard and try to get away as she is very confused by why she had to move homes later on in life. She is about 7 years old and awaiting a dental (done by Soul Dog) for some bad teeth I came in with, so I am available on a trial adoption at this time to make sure I get the care that I need.

More about this rescue
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.
Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
