Trishula is a wonderful dog with a sweet and gentle nature. Though he may take a little time to warm up, once he feels safe, his kind personality shines through. He is treat-motivated (especially with the right treats!) and a quick learner who already knows “come” and “come here.” With patience and consistency, Trishula is sure to learn even more commands and build confidence in new situations.
On walks, Trishula does very well on a leash and does not pull. He is still learning how to avoid getting tangled in legs but is making great progress. Car rides are another strong point for Trishula, as he settles in nicely and enjoys the ride.
At first, Trishula can be shy with strangers and may prefer to hang back when meeting new people. However, his gentle nature and medium energy make him an easygoing companion once trust is built. He has been partnered with another dog, Hayden, and although he was initially cautious, they now share a kennel and enjoy playing together.
Trishula would thrive in a home that understands his need for a little time to adjust and appreciates his loving and loyal personality. If you are looking for a calm, intelligent dog who will bond deeply with you, Trishula is ready to meet his forever family! He is currently living at the shelter. Fill out an application to meet him today.

More about this rescue
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.
Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
