Hello, this is Luke, a miniature schnauzer looking for a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopter! He is currently in AZ but will be arriving in mid-November to our rescue in Illinois. Unfortunately, the owners were not able to take Luke back with them to their home country and tasked their grandchild with finding a loving home for him and contacted us. He weights about 15-20 pounds
Luke is a very good tempered and a little gentleman dog. He loves people of all ages, including kids. He doesn’t mind other dogs but would rather chill with his human or by himself. He enjoys naps and cuddle time more than anything! He is also a big foodie and was spoiled with lots of different foods (kibble, wet and table food).
Luke is potty-trained and waits to use the potty outside if puppy pads aren’t available to use inside. He stands at the door when he needs to go out. He is pretty quick to go, but does like to explore for a minute to go #2. He is also relatively quiet, and only barks to let you know you have visitors at the door or if he wants to be let back in the house. He likes to play fetch and with toys. Luke does have a high prey drive and likes to hunt small animals like rodents, birds and insects. He has never been around cats, but might not do well around them given his prey drive.
He is up to date on shots, neutered de-wormed, micro-chipped and fecal tested negative.
