Nala is a beautiful and energetic older husky mix with a heart as big as her paws. She’s got the playful, adventurous spirit of a husky, and she’s always ready for an adventure—whether that’s running through fields, playing tug-of-war, or exploring new places with her humans! Nala loves to be outside, and she’s the type of dog who will happily run circles around you if you let her. She’s a social butterfly, always happy to make new friends (both human and canine), and she loves being in the center of the action. But don’t let her boundless energy fool you—when Nala is tired, she’s an expert cuddler and will happily snuggle up on the couch for a nap. Her signature "talking" howls and expressive eyes will make you laugh every time, and she certainly doesn't like being left out of family activities!

Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
