Birthdate: 12/09/2023
Breed: One of a kind
Weight: 44 lbs
Named after the hit broadway show and now movie, Elphaba, the misunderstood little pup, has a strong, independent spirit and a little bit of an edge. She’s not as interested in playing by the usual puppy rules, but when her friends are present she is happy to part take in a game of chase or fetch. Often found with her nose in the air or deep in thought, Elphaba enjoys taking in her surroundings and enjoying the little things in life. She loves a good solo adventure, but equally loves sharing those adventures with her human and dog friends. Elphaba’s got a warm heart and is excited to make your day anyway she can! She loves anything a little different and experimenting trying new things. She greatly enjoys staring out windows watching the day goes by and would love a human to accompany her!
Together, Glinda and Elphaba are a puppy duo, each bringing their own flair to the table. Whether it's Glinda's love for attention and sparkle or Elphaba's thoughtful independence, these two are bound to keep things interesting! These lovely sisters can be adopted separately.
Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!
Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
