Birthdate: 12/09/2023
Breed: One of a kind
Weight: 44 lbs
Elphaba, the misunderstood little pup, has a strong, independent spirit and a little bit of an edge. She’s not interested in playing by the usual puppy rules. Often found with her nose in the air or deep in thought, she’s not the one for a game of fetch (unless it’s on her terms), but give her some space, and she’s sure to come up with a new trick or a mischievous plan. Though she can be a bit stubborn and loves a good solo adventure, Elphaba’s got a heart of gold, and when she finally does warm up, you’ll see her true loyal and loving side! She loves anything a little offbeat—a torn-up tennis ball or an old sock she "borrowed" from the laundry basket. She greatly enjoys staring out windows dramatically, and experimenting with new (sometimes messy) games.
Together, Glinda and Elphaba are a puppy duo full of contrasts, each bringing their own flair to the table. Whether it's Glinda's love for attention and sparkle or Elphaba's thoughtful independence, these two are bound to keep things interesting!
Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!
Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
