My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kemuri is an affectionate, silky-soft Russian Blue with expressive green eyes. Born in June 2020, she came to us very small. After completing her medical care, she was adopted. Recently, her adopter reached out, four years later, asking if we’d take her back due to life changes, including a difficult pregnancy and other personal challenges. Kemuri is now in a foster home with two large dogs and two adult cats. She does well with dogs of all sizes but would thrive in a home without other cats. She enjoys playing with balls, napping on sunny windowsills, sitting with people, and curling up on laps when she wants to be held. We've found she does best on chicken-free cat food, and she's learned to use a litter robot. Kemuri would make a wonderful addition to your home and would be fine with your dog(s).

Please see our website at https://ohlonehumanesociety.org/fostering-adoption/ and click on the ADOPT A KITTEN button to submit your application. Please let us know if you are looking for a particular kitten. We will let you know as soon as our Kitten Foster Program Manager reviews the applications received.

Please note that all of our kittens must be spayed or neutered in our care before adoption can be finalized. Due to the decreased availability of spay/neuter services due to COVID-19 precautions, a kitten may be in our foster program for a longer period receiving shots and medical care before being placed with an adopter. Kittens require a $100 minimum donation/adoption fee to help us fund our program.

We are looking forward to your application submission.

More about this rescue

Ohlone Humane Society (OHS) is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit serving Fremont, Newark and Union City. We advocate for all creatures, from urban wildlife to companion animals. While OHS doesn’t operate a shelter, we’re one of the few humane societies to maintain a wildlife rehabilitation center. Founded in 1983, OHS has expanded its programs and services to benefit the animals and our community. They include but are not limited to: therapy dog teams visiting senior care facilities and libraries, delivering dog and cat food to the homeless in need, and spay-neuter assistance.
