My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beatrix and Tiggy-Winkle, two inseparable ratty best friends looking for a cozy, loving forever home together! They were recently surrendered to us by their previous owner who adored them but struggled to provide the dedicated time they deserved.

Both girls have wonderful temperaments, love gentle handling, and enjoy treats, cozy snuggles, and time spent exploring. They would thrive in a home that can continue to shower them with love and provide plenty of time for play and bonding. If you're looking for a pair of affectionate, entertaining friends to add some joy to your life, Beatrix and Tiggy-Winkle might be just the perfect match!

To begin the adoption process for our small animals, please fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire below. Be as detailed as possible, and keep in mind that an enclosure photo will be required after we receive your form submission.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
