My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Quinn, a 5-month-old Belgian Malinois and Lab mix with an endless supply of energy and enthusiasm! This spunky girl thrives on activity and is highly food-motivated, making training sessions both fun and productive. She's already close to mastering commands like "sit," "down," and "touch" and is eager to learn even more.

Quinn would do best in a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle, as she requires both physical and mental stimulation to stay happy and well-balanced. She excels in training activities, interactive games, and any challenge that lets her put her sharp mind to work. For those looking for an adventure buddy, Quinn is ready for hikes, runs, and any outdoor escapade you can think of!

Her future family should be prepared to spend plenty of quality time with her and provide consistent training and enrichment to keep her busy mind engaged. Due to her energy levels and play style, we recommend a home without cats. If you're ready for an engaging, intelligent companion and think Quinn could be the perfect fit, please submit an application today! We would love to share more about Quinn and see if she's the right match for your family. Please note: At this time, we're only accepting local applicants, as she is awaiting her spay surgery.

More about this shelter

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
