My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oakley! This beautiful 2 year old brown tabby boy wearing white socks and was found in a Culpeper backyard of a Good Samaritan. Frightened, he tried to get into her home, but she had other cats and could not take him in so she contacted us.

Oakley has such personality! He is curious, affectionate and personable. He’s the guy at the party who would welcome you in and show you around and was a hit at our PetSmart adoption event. He gets along well with other cats, but would be just as happy being an only cat/companion cat. He loves people and just wants to find his own person to spend the rest of his life.

Oakley is fully vetted and ready to go home with an approved application. He is dewormed, neutered, received his FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime regstration. You won't need to pay to reregister every year - we've taken care of it! Interested in this sweet boy? Let us know! GoodMews22@aol.com or call 540.717.4420

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires you filling out an approved adoption application, meeting your future family member, and signing a contract. Fees vary depending on the cat - their socialibility, age, and how long they have been looking for their furrever home. Fees range from $35 to $65. All cats are spayed/neutered, feline leukemia tested negative, and have had their first set of vaccines.

More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
