Meet Ella! This 1 year-old, 55-pound bundle of joy is a true testament to the power of second chances. Just days before she was set to be euthanized in a high-kill shelter due to overcrowding, we couldn't stand by and let that happen. We saw the videos and pictures of Ella-full of life, energy, and happiness-and knew we had to give her a shot. Fast forward to today, and Ella is living her best life in her foster home, where she has flourished into the playful, goofy girl we knew she would be.
Ella is fostered with multiple dogs and cats, and she's the life of the party! She's obsessed with playing with her doggy friends-whether it's a game of chase, or just bouncing around with a toy, she's always up for fun. She's crate trained, food motivated, and friendly with everyone she meets, both human and canine. Ella is also working on her potty training, and with a little more practice, she'll be the perfect house guest.
Her bubbly, boisterous personality is contagious, but it can be a bit much for some dogs who aren't as interested in playtime. She's still learning to read social cues and would do best in a home with another dog who enjoys her high-energy, playful nature. Homes with young kids will be considered on a case by case basis, as Ella's still working on not jumping when she gets excited. While Ella has yet to interact with cats, we don't anticipate any issues-she's just a big, goofy lovebug with no mean bone in her body.
Ella's zest for life makes her the perfect companion for an active family or anyone ready to keep up with her playful spirit. If you're looking for a dog who is all heart, all play, and all love, Ella is the girl for you!
