My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My daughter named her Toasty because of her "toasted look: darker coloring on top and spotted gray on her belly. The name fits only in one way-she'll keep you warm with her cuddles!

Toasty needs a home where someone can be with her for most of the day. She's incredibly bonded to people; while many kittens attach to littermates, Toasty has bonded closely with me. She's constantly seeking me out, whether on my lap, shoulder, or following me from room to room.

Toasty is, without question, the best kitten we've had-she's loving, playful, fun, and so relaxed when she's near you. She plays well with her siblings and loves chasing balls, but she's quick to come back for snuggles and attention. She has a clever, playful personality and forms strong attachments to her humans, which is truly endearing.

She's also great with my grandkids and is used to the sounds of a lively household-piano noises, laughter, and the occasional toy ride in their little shopping cart to the "store. At night, she faithfully curls up with our 14-year-old foster sister, ready for bed by 10.

If you're home most of the day and looking for a kitten who will be your devoted companion, Toasty is perfect. She would do best with a gentle, lower-energy kitten buddy. She's active and playful but not hyperactive.

Come meet Toasty and see just how special she is!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Toasty will need to be adopted with one of their siblings (Tasty and Biggy).

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
