This incredibly handsome boy is Jerry, a 6 to 7 year old Bluetick Coonhound. He came to rescue as a stray in September 2024, likely after dedicating many years of service to hunting. It seems he's lost his enthusiasm for tracking prey and is now ready for long walks and resting on a soft sofa somewhere safe and warm. He is a solidly built hound who is alert and observant in his environment, making him an ideal candidate for training. Yes - older dogs CAN learn new tricks! Jerry loves people and is friendly with dogs of all sizes. He's up-to-date on all required shots, is neutered, and is ready to find his forever home before the chill of Winter sets in.
