Story: Daisy was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina with her brother Louie. We are so happy to have her safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Daisy is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. She knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Daisy is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Daisy will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!
What my Foster says:
They love being outdoors and playing with each other in the yard. And they also love curling up with one another for nap time. Both are learning how to walk on a leash. They love other dogs, they embraced my dog immediately wanting to play and curl up with her.
Also very good with cats, they're not overly interested in them much at all and in some cases give them wide berth. Both are food motivated and smart, they tackled stairs today and are slowly exploring the house.
Crate is good, they will go in and out and sleep there without issue. Housebreaking is something they are working on.
Daisy really opens up in the yard running around, chasing her brother, and will get sassy with him trying to get him to play. While she is shy, once she meets you on her level she warms up fairly quickly. She loves to cuddle and her plushy chewie toys. Daisy also is more confident in the fenced in yard than out on a leash for a walk.
The fee to adopt Daisy is $450. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in his foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. Daisy has been seen by a shelter vet and was given a clean bill of health.
