My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years
Weight: 4.26 kg / 9.4 lbs

Rora is sweet young pup looking for a new home! At only 2 years old, her foster family tells us she is already quite calm for her age and can easily settle down to relax when at home. Rora LOVES her walks though, and will do big happy zoomies when she has the chance to explore. Affectionate and snuggly, her foster family noted that she will shadow her human around the house or onto the bed. (She`s willing to sleep in the dog bed if you ask, though!) Rora can be quite vocal when left alone and would be especially happy to find a family that is home during the day, or can bring her with them. With her big personality and previous history of having dog friends, Rora could make an ideal addition to a variety of homes! If she sounds like the right pup for you, then come on by CHS today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
