My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Jack. A little shy at first, I might tuck myself away when we first meet. But give me a little time, and you`ll see my sweet nature unfold. I love attention, you see. A gentle stroke, a soft whisper, these are the things that make my heart purr. I may not be the first to greet you, but I promise, I`ll be the one who stays by your side. I dream of a home where I can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Adopting me isn`t just about giving a cat a home, it`s about welcoming a loyal, loving companion into your life.

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
