This pretty girl is Penny. Penny was abandoned along with her newborn kittens and was brought to the shelter so they could find a new, loving home. They lived in a foster home until her kittens were ready to be adopted, and now, Penny is ready for a new home with you. She`s a friendly girl who likes attention and loves to be pet. Penny is also an outgoing girl who can play a bit rough, so she`ll need an adopter willing to provide her extra playtime to expend her playful energy. If you have the home Penny is hoping for, please fill out an adoption application and speak to a feline staff member directly.

Penny`s adoption fee includes:
Massachusetts Health Certificate
Spay/neuter surgery
Rabies vaccine for kittens over 3 months of age
1st FVRCP vaccine
1st deworming
Testing for Heartworm, FIV, and FLV
ID Microchip
Flea treatment including the use of Advantage monthly preventative
Ear cleaning, bathing, nail trimming, and other necessary grooming

Submit Application

Either submit an application in advance of visiting or upon your visit. Staff will approve your application as quickly as possible.

2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Meet with pets that are a potential to be your new family member. (This can be done prior to your application being approved.)

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have found the right match staff will go over all the information you may need to help make the adoption successful.

BHS Adoption Hours:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Closed to the public at Noon on the last Wednesday of every month.
