Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet our sweet dog, Herschel! We rescued Herschel 3 years ago and the vet believes him to be somewhere around 11-13 years old. Herschel comes from a pretty troubled background and we have done the best we can to provide for him but sadly, our life circumstances now dictate that we find him a new home to live out the rest of his days.
Herschel has separation anxiety and issues getting along with other animals. He will be happiest with owners that are able to be with him most of the time and he'll need to be the only pet in the house.
Special needs aside, Herschel is absolutely the sweetest dog and loves humans very much. He is very sweet to kids of all ages and will spend most of his day laying around looking cute and waiting to cuddle. He loves to go on walks and run around outside. Ideally his new family can either provide exercise everyday or have a space that he can be let out to explore, bury bones, do dog stuff.
