My name is Jay!

Jay is a sweet and intelligent boy. It breaks my heart to let him go, especially knowing his past of having been passed around as a puppy and slightly neglected during his second year of life. I often relate his temperament to that of a three year old. He does well to communicate his needs and even though he gets excited, he listens well... until there's a distraction.

He is a big boy, but he's a big teddy bear who only means well. He has done well with kids younger than 5 and he got along with our cats, no problem. He can be an indoor or out door dog. We recently had a baby and with our place being small, we decided to have the dogs be outdoor dogs. As long as all his needs are met He does well. Though, Jay is definitely a companion animal and likes his humans and would prefer to be where his people are gathered. I noticed he sleeps outside my window when the weather allows.

Jay has never bit anyone before. However, he does growl at strangers. I have always felt safe with him.
