Hi, I’m Stella, a curious, playful, and expressive kitty looking for my forever home. I love to be a part of my human’s routine and am happiest when I’m close by and can keep an eye on everything. I’m told that my big, Puss-in-Boots eyes light up when watching what my foster mom is up to!
Though I absolutely love people, I’ll admit I can be a bit shy at first when it comes to handling—I’ve been through a lot. But I’ve been working hard on trusting and now adore forehead and cheek pets and scratches (they’re the best!). I’m even starting to like lap time and forehead kisses! With some patience, I may end up loving being handled and cuddled!
Did I mention I love to play? Feather wands, cardboard scratchers, scratcher houses, boxes, and track ball toys are my absolute favorites! Oh, and it would be great if you can put the ball back in the track when I knock it out! I currently love watching videos of birds and mice, so a window perch with a view would be wonderful, too,
I grew up with other cats, so I would be happiest with a playful feline friend. I have a big foster cat brother here, and I love it when he grooms me and joins me for play sessions. My ideal match would be a friendly, playful brother (the bigger, the better!) who is sweet but also up for some feisty playtime. I’m good with my cat sisters, but my energy may be too much for calm or older female kitties.
While dogs can make me nervous (a dog killed one of my siblings before I was rescued), I’m slowly learning to be okay around my foster mom’s dog when he is calm and not barking. I’d do best with a quiet dog who has lived with cats and who won’t chase or startle me, but I do require another friendly cat (preferably male) in the home. I haven’t been around kids, but older children who understand boundaries should be fine, too!
Stella is approximately 11 months old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative. She’s also litter box trained. She is being fostered in Colorado Springs but is available for adoption anywhere in CO. Her adoption fee is $150. Ready to meet your new best friend?
