Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bellarose!
This lovely lady is Bellarose-a fun, playful pup with the perfect mix of independence and affection! Bellarose knows her "sit command and loves a good game of fetch, especially if there's a squeaky toy involved! With her medium energy and calm nature, she walks well on a leash and is eager to explore both inside the kennel and outside in the yard. She's a bit silly and always brings a smile with her playful spirit.
Bellarose is ready to be someone's loyal friend-could it be you?
On 11/16/24 Bellarose met another dog. A technician reported to me they attempted to dog test her, but she was very reactive and got the basket muzzle off and lunged at the dog.
I chose to have her meet Maggs (41791) as she is smaller, timid, and submissive.
She was easy to leash and walked relatively well outside (she did stop at a couple dogs that were barking and was fence fighting). In the catch pen she became stiff at Magg's approach and let out a low growl. I had Maggs called away so I could get her fitted with a basket muzzle. Once the muzzle was in place, I allowed her into the yard. Bellarose repeatedly tried to remove the muzzle, but I physically stopped her and stayed crouched with her for a few minutes so she could acclimate. I called Maggs and helped walked Bellarose to her for introductions. Bellarose let out a low growl and immediately began necking Maggs. I used a spray bottle to separate them. I allowed Bellarose another opportunity to meet Maggs, and she growled, snarled, and pinned her to the ground. Maggs immediately submitted, but Bellarose continued to stand over her, growling. She was removed from the yard.
