My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ME...
My name is Arlo. I am a yorkie mix. I was surrendered because my owner could not take care of me properly. I was in bad shape when I went to the shelter, my skin was bad, I was covered in fleas, I had not been altered and my teeth were in horrible shape. The shelter found COPAW and they placed me in a foster home. The rescue took care of all my issues, I feel like a puppy again. Everyone says I am a handsome, quiet, curious little boy. My foster family says I am just the best boy ever. I cause no trouble; I just want to cuddle and lay next to a human.

I AM GREAT WITH...
I like the dogs in my foster home, but I really love the humans. We cuddle, watch movies, and play with the toys. I love to keep my crate clean and go for walks on my leash. We are not sure if I like cats, my foster home does not have any. I sleep through the night in my crate and patiently wait for my foster mom to let me out for my morning potty break. I follow the human around and watch every move they make, that is my favorite hobby. I do not talk a lot; I have only barked a few times in my foster home.

I AM STILL WORKING ON...
I am wonderful in my crate, but I am still working on my potty training. Although, I am doing an excellent job, I will need my forever home to continue to remind me and be patient with me. I am trying hard to remember to potty outside. My foster mom says she is proud of my progress.

I AM NOT GOOD WITH...
I take food very seriously. I gobble my food down extremely fast, and I am always looking for more. I will growl a bit at the other dogs if they come near my bowl and I will take the treats from the other fur babies in my foster home. Foster mom gently tells me "No. I am not sure why I do this, but foster mom said I was probably not fed regularly. I have been working on this while in my foster home. I still need help with my food issues, but I am a smart boy and I know my forever family will help me break this habit.
