Meet Apollo, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Apollo is a strikingly handsome Black Lab Mix, he’s about 10 months old with a silky smooth coat, and he weighs about 65 pounds.
Apollo is shy for about 2 seconds when meeting new people and he is affectionate and sweet after that. He enjoys taking walks (he walks well on a leash), spending time in the outdoor play area, and discovering everything nature has to offer. He is well mannered around other dogs and seems curious to meet and play with them; I was told he will give chase around cats though.
Apollo has his first Vet appt. in Dexter in about two weeks at which time we will schedule his neuter surgery. He will be given a physical exam and Heart Worm test, he will receive all necessary vaccinations and boosters, and he will be microchipped for his safety. Apollo is being given monthly heart worm prevention as well as flea/tick meds.
If you would like to meet Apollo, please submit an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Once approved, I can invite you out to meet him and we can further discuss the adoption process.
More photos will follow once our volunteer photographer can make it out to meet him.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
