Meow! My name is Gumbo. My estimated date of birth is 11/5/2019. With the holidays approaching, a word that is brought up a lot is gratitude. Gumbo is such a grateful boy, He is grateful to his caretaker for feeding him and caring for him until he could come into rescue, and for getting him medical treatment for a wound he had prior to coming to rescue, he is grateful to FLR for accepting him into rescue despite his FIV+ label, which is no fault of his, and likely contracted through that prior wound. He is grateful to have his dry food bowl filled every day, for a comfy bed to lay in, he is grateful for his wet food treat every morning, He is grateful to anyone who gives him even one ounce of attention; Gumbo loves everyone and everything. He will rub himself against the side of his cage and will be unable to stay still from excitement of getting loved on. He is grateful for "conversations" and talking back and forth with his visitors. He has been a reminder to us to take a moment and appreciate what life offers us. The thing that would make Gumbo most grateful of all, is to have a family and home all his own. Gumbo is at kitty corner, ready to show you what a lover he is.

Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
