My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunny is a very special boy looking for his forever home. His story starts on Craigslist, where his original owners were looking for a new place for him to stay. Another family took him home, but was unable to keep him for very long. It was then that Sunny came to MACS, and his new life began! At first he was scared and hid all day, but now that he knows he's safe Sunny is one of the biggest lovers in the cat room! He loves pets and cuddles, and will always eagerly crawl into your lap for affection. He is a little shy when meeting new people, but once he gets to know you he's the best cat around. When he isn't spending time with his favorite people, Sunny enjoys playing with catnip toys and ripping up scratcher boards. This boy is definitely on the more outgoing and energetic side, and would be a good fit for a home looking to have a cat that wants lots of attention and play time. Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

Interested in a dog? Please fill out an application at our website, please list dogs name on application or if you don't see one, please list breed/gender you are looking for. (We can place you on a wish list) Once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills or a PetCo in Roseville. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: https://macsshelter.org/dog-application. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.

We do take our dogs to different pet stores in the Metro Detroit area on Saturday's. You can visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/macs1935) to see where our next dog adoption event will be located. These events start at 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
