Mia!

Mia is a sweet, sweet girl.  She started life in a breeding situation and was possibly a puppy reserved for breeding but does not seem to have been bred.  She is approx. two years old.  She was released to rescue when the breeding facility was closing. Mia was most likely not handled much as a puppy and, therefore, she shies away from being picked up or handled.  She is very food motivated and solicits attention with food bribes.  She is very curious and pops up on her hind legs to check out what is happening when her humans are sitting, and then allows ear scratches and pets.  Mia needs an adopter who is patient and is willing to work with her to continue to make her more comfortable in her surroundings. Mia is great with other dogs and might benefit from another dog in the household but it is not a requirement.
