My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beefy Duke is a solid, handsome boy who has been an outside dog most of his life but has a bonus skill of being housebroken! His favorite activity is fetching, and the unfortunate fetching of some chickens found him with a new address at the shelter. Duke is 4 years young and takes a second to warm up, but a handful of treats, kind words and gentle chin scratches ease him into becoming your best friend quickly! Add a ball to the mix, and Duke is a happy boy! Duke has tested positive for heartworm disease, but our great staff can coach you on an easy way to get him 100% heartworm-free! Don't let that keep you from meeting Duke--we'd love for you to get to know this handsome fella!
