Meet Kris!

Kris is a sweet and resilient mixed-breed pup, weighing 20–25 lbs, who is ready to find her forever home. Born to a feral momma dog in Evansville, Kris spent the first four months of her life in "the wild." Now, she’s learning how to trust and accept love from humans—and making incredible progress every day!

Kris gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. She finds comfort in her blanket and kennel, where she feels safe and secure. With patience and love, this special girl will blossom into an amazing companion.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
