My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rita, a delightful 14 year old, brown-and-white Domestic Shorthair with an adorable little mustache that adds charm to her already sweet personality. Weighing in at a petite 6-7 lbs, Rita is the perfect companion for those who appreciate a calm and observant feline friend.

Rita loves to find cozy spots where she can relax and keep an eye on her surroundings, showcasing her curious nature. Her gentle demeanor makes her an ideal pet for a serene home environment. When it comes to affection, Rita transforms into a purring machine the moment you start petting her—she truly thrives on love and attention!

This lovely lady is also food motivated, making it easy to win her heart. While she may be a bit shy at first, with a little patience and understanding, Rita will blossom into a loyal companion.

If you're looking for a sweet, low-key cat to share your home with, consider adopting Rita. She's ready to find her forever family!

Rita is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Fill out our adoption questionnaire so you can meet her at her foster home in Mountain View, CA

Additional adoption info

While we do offer a FaceTime or in home visit, it is not about checking on your housekeeping. The purpose of the home visit is to check for safety hazards so that we can counsel new adopters how to make a safer environment for their new family member.
