Dar Wina (A169427) 19 lb. spayed female, approx 5 months old
- affectionately goes by the name Georgia in her foster home - this young pup was found dumped in a crate, with wounds from what appears to be road rash. Given this start, it's not surprising that she can be timid around people when first meeting them. During her time in foster she is doing so well learning to trust people, she's a brave little girl - spending time with other dogs brings out her confidence, she loves playing and running around with the other dogs in her foster home. She would likely do best with dogs who are more on the submissive side (slow introductions are always highly recommended) - treats are the way to her heart - she's working hard on housetraining and has begun to alert us that she needs to go outside, so I believe she's on her way to mastering it However, puppies require time and patience as they learn all the skills they need to be the best that they can be. Training is ideal at this age - does well in the car and is getting better each day with her leash skills - is learning that her crate is her safe space, she spends time in there when her foster family is away from home. We feed her in her crate in order for her to develop positive association with her crate - Georgia is hoping to find a family who will be patient with her as she'll need a little time to settle into a new home. It won't take her long though, after just a couple weeks in foster, she acts like she's been here forever
