Meet Sharkey, a charming 5-year-old ferret who is looking for a loving forever home. He arrived at Ferret Dreams in June after being surrendered with his dear friend, Rufus. Tragically, Rufus passed away shortly after their arrival, leaving Sharkey to find his way as a single ferret.
Sharkey has shown incredible resilience and is thriving in his new life. His playful nature shines through as he loves to explore and engage with his humans. One of his most amusing quirks? He absolutely adores digging in his water bowl! With his boundless energy and playful antics, Sharkey is bound to bring joy and laughter to any household. While he has interacted positively with cats and children, his feelings towards dogs remain unknown. It’s important to note that single ferrets like Sharkey are not suited for companionship with other ferrets.
Adopting a single ferret, such as Sharkey, is a commitment that offers rich rewards. They thrive on attention and require a dedicated human to spend ample time with them, making them ideal for households where an adult is around during the day to provide the care and stimulation they need.
Sharkey recently had a vet check, confirming he is in great health and primed to find his new family. Rest assured, all ferrets, including Sharkey, have been neutered (spayed/castrated) and descented. They’ve also been vaccinated for rabies and distemper as babies, although we recommend checking on their vaccination status.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this delightful little fellow, consider adopting Sharkey for an adoption fee of $200. Give him the love and companionship he deserves, and you’ll gain a loyal friend for life!

Our Mile High Ferret Club is an excellent opportunity to interact with the local ferret community. The monthly gatherings encourage ferret owners to bring their healthy and non-aggressive ferrets to play and socialize with others. These events also act as fundraisers to benefit the rescue. More details can be found on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/milehighferretclub.
