Meet Licorice, a five month old, female, black kitten.
Licorice was brought to HART with her siblings Creamsicle and Popsicle and their barely 6 month old mama. They were originally being sheltered and fed by an elderly woman who was dealing with some major health issues of her own.
When HART stepped in to relieve her of the responsibility of their care, all four were struggling with a major flea infestation which was dealt with immediately. Once they were free of those little buggers that made them miserable, they could concentrate on the important stuff...eating, growing, and playing!
Licorice was much smaller than her brothers and had to fight for attention and her place in line. As a result, she has developed a bit of an attitude and tends to be a little sassy. She likes to boss her brothers around and they have learned to stay out of her way when she's being "assertive"...it's a girl thing....
HART recommends kittens 6 months of age and younger be adopted in pairs.
All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
