Meet Bella!
This cutie pie is around 2 years old and about 10 lbs. She was found as a stray in a rural area.
She is a sweet girl but quite timid and she will need a patient owner to help her gain some confidence.
From her foster family:
Bella gets a walk morning and evening, and she also goes up and down the stairs from one end of the house to the other 1000 times a day because she has serious FOMO. If anyone is moving about the house, she is there. She collects dog toys and anything that the kids leave laying about and takes it upstairs to her bed. (she only seems to chew on the toys). She likes chews and is a but picky about treats.
She loves people and wants to be near them. She'd do well with kids who are old enough to be gentle and mindful. She is unbothered by the erratic movements and loud noises made by a 6-year-old. She's good with other dogs. I don't have cats, but she doesn't want to chase squirrels or bunnies that she sees, so I don't think she has a high prey drive.
She doesn't seem to have had any training. She learned "sit" and "come" to her name in a couple of sessions, and seems eager too please, so she should be easy to train.
Bella is not completely potty trained. She's averaging about one accident a day and this needs a bit more work. I crate her when I'm gone - the longest has been a few hours. She does not love car rides and shakes a bit when we are driving.
Overall, Bella hasn't had a lot of exposure to life & being a dog. She wants to play, but isn't sure how. Outdoor noises are scary the first time. (We live in a busy urban area) She's fearful of new things, but is working through it and has come a long way already in building confidence and will be okay. She is so sweet, and there's a little sass waiting to come out once she is more comfortable. She doesn't like to be picked up yet, and doesn't want to cuddle much (which could change) but she does want to be right by you.
Bella is vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450. Please submit an application via savinggreatanimals.org
We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
