Meet Channing, an affectionate and playful pup who loves being around people and other dogs. Channing was found as a stray but has quickly adapted to a life full of love and care. He’s friendly with everyone—children, adults, seniors, big dogs, and small dogs. While his interactions with cats are unknown, Channing is eager to find a forever home where he can share his goofy and affectionate personality.
Channing has a moderate energy level and enjoys spending time in your lap, soaking up all the affection he can get. He’s leash trained, crate trained, and does well in the car. His playful nature shines through when he’s with his toys or engaging in fun activities. Despite his playful demeanor, Channing is quiet and can be protective of his human, especially around bigger dogs. He has no issues with smaller dogs and gets along well with them.
Channing's day starts at 7 AM with breakfast and a potty break. He spends some time in his crate to get used to his schedule, comes out to play, and goes back in for a nap around 2 PM. Dinner is at 5 PM, followed by more playtime, and he’s ready for bed by 8 PM.
One thing to note about Channing is his tendency to be an escape artist—he loves to explore and doesn’t like to be left out of anything. This makes him a great companion for active individuals or families who can keep him engaged and entertained.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and loyal companion who loves lap time and adventures, Channing is the perfect addition to your family!
Channing is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/15/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
