Groot is a quirky, lovable guy with a story as big as his personality. He came to Minnesota all the way from Tennessee after his shelter flooded during Hurricane Helene. Now he’s ready to settle into a forever home where he can truly shine.

While he’s not much of a climber, Groot enjoys lounging on the floor, making him the perfect companion for someone who wants a laid-back yet playful cat.

Groot has his preferences when it comes to affection. He’s not a fan of head-on pets but loves being petted from the side or back. When he’s in the mood for attention, he’ll give you an affectionate head butt to let you know it’s time for some head rubs. Here’s a cute video of Groot making biscuits!

He’s adjusting to life in a home and gets along great with his foster siblings—he’s friendly, playful, and would love to have another cat buddy.
