Poppy is a colorful girl with gorgeous eyes and a gentle spirit. She is mindful. She is demure. At 8 years of age, Poppy is ready to settle down in a forever home that can offer her a quiet space to be comfortable and carefree. This sweet bobtail girl recently recovered from dental surgery and now that she is pain free, she's ready to live her best life. In her free time, Poppy enjoys gazing out windows, snacking on catnip treats, and making biscuits on a soft blanket. While shy at first, she doesn't hesitate to roll over for belly rubs and chin scratches. She doesn't mind other cats or dogs. Come meet this beautiful girl today!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
