My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

China is a young female dog with an enchanting presence and a heart full of affection. Her shy yet sweet demeanor is sure to capture your heart, making her a perfect companion for those who appreciate a gentle and loving furry friend. While China may take some time to warm up, her affectionate nature shines through once she feels secure in her surroundings.

Despite her gentle disposition, China may benefit from some training to help her adjust to her new environment and learn basic commands. With patience and positive reinforcement, she will quickly become a well-mannered and cherished member of your family.

What to Expect When Adopting a Dog Like China

  1. Patience in Building Trust:
    • China may take some time to adjust to new environments and people. Approach her with patience and understanding, allowing her to build trust at her own pace.
  2. Affectionate Bonding:
    • Once she feels comfortable, China thrives on love and closeness. Be prepared for tender cuddles and bonding moments that will strengthen your relationship and ensure she feels cherished and secure.
  3. Training and Guidance:
    • Although China is eager to please, training will be essential to help her understand household rules and expectations. Consistent, reward-based methods will guide her toward becoming a well-behaved companion.
  4. Calm and Supportive Environment:
    • China will flourish in a calm and nurturing environment where she feels safe and secure. Providing a cozy space and a predictable routine will help her settle in comfortably.
  5. Gentle Socialization:
    • Encouraging China to socialize with other dogs and people will help her develop strong social skills and confidence. Arranging calm playdates and outings will foster her ability to interact positively in various settings.
  6. Balanced Activity Levels:
    • While China enjoys relaxation and cuddling, she also appreciates gentle walks and interactive toys to keep her stimulated. A balanced routine that includes both downtime and light activity will ensure she remains happy and healthy.

By welcoming China into your home, you're inviting a sweet and gentle soul into your life. Her shy charm and affectionate nature will fill your days with warmth and joy. If you're ready for a devoted and gentle furry friend, China might just be the perfect match for your family!

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
