My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHILI DOG is currently being fostered in TEXAS.
Chili dog is approximately 1-1 1/2 years old. She weighs approximately 12 1/2 pounds and is tall and slender.
Chili has a big personality. She is very friendly. She loves all animals and people however she is at times a bog dog in a little dog body.
She plays rough and tumble and would not be suitable for frail older animals in the home.
Chili is extremely smart, energetic, and social. She is a great dog for an active family.
She does jump a lot but we are working on that and she is a fast learner.
Chili is still young and has a lot of puppy in her but she is eager to please her people, and will be easy to train if you just give her a little time and commitment to do so, she will be an excellent dog.
Chili walks very well on a leash, always watching her human to learn what's next and of course she loves when you tell her how great she is doing. She is already learning sit and stay, which she does unless there is a lot of other excitement going on.
Chili is easily excitable. She LOVES to meet new friends. If you are an outgoing social person that wants a dog to go on adventures with, walks, dog parks, brunches, or have busy kiddos that love to play, Chili is your girl.
Chili Dog has really grown on us, it took a minute because she came in like a wrecking ball 😂😂😂 but as soon as she had a routine, security and love, as soon as she learned some manners, she has been an absolute doll.
Chili was rescued from Atascosa Animal Control. They were out of space they had her in a regular dog crate in the isle. All the big dogs were barking at her non stop for two weeks and she only had 24 inches to bounce back and forth frantically, probably scared out of her mind and clearly over stimulated. She looked like one of those zoo animals with cage madness the day I picked her up.
So, we don’t blame her for her crazy ways and wanting the freedom to run and jump and act like a 1 year old dog.
She needs a family that will help her grow, learn and continue her journey. She loves so hard and wants so badly to be a good girl and she is constantly looking for approval.
Please give her a chance!
