Joachim's enthusiasm for treats and his playful puppy heart are impossible to miss! He’s a bit clumsy on those long legs, sometimes bouncing up for treats, but he always tries his best to sit for you. This gentle giant is a lovable goof who leans in for affection, happily sitting right on you if it means he’ll get extra pets and booty scratches. Joachim is all bones right now—ribs visible, hip bones jutting, and his little face just a bit sunken. His spirit though is doing just fine.

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
