Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Her life-long human is in hospice & sweet Rennie needs a retirement home!
Rennie is 15, 43 lbs, with a sociable nature. She is friendly with adult humans & when younger was a very energetic dog (sometimes dog reactive); she’s now calmer & quieter. She’s on a low-protein diet for early-stage kidney disease (large quantity provided). She still enjoys short walks & healthy snacks, & loves being around people. Her crate is her cozy refuge.
Because of the kidney disease Rennie needs to have opportunities to pee every few hours (at night she can go up to 6 hours). She's had consistent veterinary care & is up to date on her shots.
Rennie comes with her crate, new bed, special food, leash & harness, & heartworm pills. She has stayed calm & friendly despite many changes & new folks in the house; we think she will do well with new people. She will enjoy living with adults (no young children), & will need to be the only animal in the home.
