Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Have you ever heard of a bull herder? You ought to have answered yes if you consider this guy, let's talk about Forrest! While he's definitely not going to be your standard family pet, without a singular doubt; he will make an incredible sport dog! Now Forrest is exactly what you'd imagine when crossing a bull terrier and a Belgian malinois, he's clingy, loving, loyal, tenacious, and has that striking ambition to please! Forrest is a pretty happy-go-lucky guy, and doesn't seem to mind too much, all that often, but being just 11 months old and all; he can't help but be a comical guy just by being himself! One thing about Forrest is that he loves belly rubs, in fact, I think he'd do anything for them! The second he wants some loving, it's like a stop, drop, and roll; and at about 47 pounds; with a stocky build, he's not that elegant quite yet; he's just a goof! Forrest has the potential to excel exponentially in various different areas based on his drives. Food is currently his biggest motivator but I am working diligently on building his drives everyday. So we believe he'd make a solid match for anyone searching for a dog they'd like to work with; whether it be by competitive sports, or casual. Forrest does very well with other dogs, and is ready to romp and play any day. He's honestly just such a love bug built into a stout, more than willing to please, Bullherder! Honestly, if I wasn't here working 60 hour weeks, he would've already been taken home by me, he is my favorite dog we've ever had!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
